Îmi zicea că n-o să mă căsătoresc niciodată în ritmul ăsta. Trebuie să trăiesc, nu pot. Mama era disperată, se ruga la biserică. De aia nu pot să fac politică, intră cineva si află… Tot ce este omenesc am făcut la viața mea. Mama s-a rugat pentru mine.
Până l-am întâlnit pe Victor, acum 39 de ani. Eu sunt diabolică, nu e bine. Să mai trăiască mama, să se roage pentru mine. În momentul când eu mă pornesc, eu mă duc până la capăt. Și asta m-a costat în viață. În momentul în care mă apucă furia…l-am convins, m-am căsătorit în septembrie 1977. Făcusem în iunie pariu cu tata, de ziua mea”, a spus Monica Tatoiu în cadrul unei emisiuni.
